She gone to bridge...
Tina Story
Tina was born on Christmas Day and we brought her home when she turned 6 weeks old. It was a cold winter and she hiccupped at nights, so I allowed her to sleep in my bed.
Tina had such a lively temper and was so energetic that even after long walks did not calm her down. When she was 6 months old we moved to our country home and she was allowed to be outside as much as she wanted. This was the time when I made a mistake that many years later developed into a serious and incurable lung disease. All my books said that running after the bike is the best way to keep the dog fit, but none of them said that a young dog and especially a puppy should have be exercised very cautiously.
Although Tina showed a great interest in fieldwork, we never went through the training and she did not pass the working trial. The only way that she was able to express her hunting instinct was hunting (and eventually killing) our shoes. I still feel that it is my fault that her working potential did not get the chance to develop.

Tina had puppies when she was 5 years old. She gave birth to 5 bitches and 2 males. Unfortunately, most of them ended up as home pets. I lost track of two bitches – one was supposedly taken to Sochi and her owners did not even pick up her pedigree and the other lives somewhere in Moscow.
Only one bitch of this litter loves in a working home and has a good show career – Tin Tory Lettias. She had two litters.
My Tina was a very good friend and we enjoyed each other’s company for 12 years.
To be continued.
